Fall Daring & Funky Tights

Shirt from Uniqlo
T-shirt dress from H&M
Booties: Lucky Brand Jeans
Rings: Jewelmint & Betty Carre
Tights: from Japan

Hi Readers!

With daylight savings, I find it difficult to post more outfits, but since it's Veteran's Day, I have a day off and found some time to make a brief post!

In this outfit, my tights is the center of attention!  Although I am not wearing anything revealing, I find this to be very sexy and almost provocative.  To make this look more casual and daytime appropriate, I layered a t-shirt dress and a plaid shirt over it!  I am channeling my Veteran's Day spirit with my red, white and blue shirt!

I purchased my tights from Japan, but I found some equally awesome tights from Asos for you:

Tights are my favorite kind of accessory to shop for right now!  What is your favorite fall/winter accessory to shop for?

xoxo,
Margaret

A Stroll in the Park: Fall Floral

Hold on babe, I got a text.  hey, I said hold on!

TOP: Forever 21 Dress! (Similar here and here)
BOTTOM: Zara pleated skirt
BAG: Michael Kors Jet Set tote (available in different colors here)
SHOES: Sole Society Madee (here)
Watch: La Mer leather wrap & chain watch

Hi Readers!

It's been too long since my last post!  My boyfriend and I took a walk through Central Park because he wanted to test out this camera! (his sister's)  And I finally got my hands on these photos!

The floral top is actually a mini, body-con dress!  If you have a body-con dress that may be a bit too crazy for daytime, you may want to consider tucking it into a skirt!

I love floral prints in the early fall.  It's feminine and fresh and it goes very well with sunshine and the cooler breeze.  I was a seriously a walking flowery ball of colors that day!

Let me know what fall trends you're loving!  I'm dying to acquire something in mustard and berry/wine color!

Thanks for reading!

xoxo,
Margaret

Summer Look: Casual Sexy Back

TOP: Thrifted
BOTTOM: Forever21 shorts
BAG: Michael Kors
SHOES: Indigo by Clarks Finch Wedges
BRACELET: Forever21
NECKLACE: Jewelmint
SUNGLASSES: Urban Outfitters floral wayfarer/clubmaster style

From the front, it's just another tank with denim shorts, but that wouldn't have been blog worthy!  I've been hunting for a back cut-out top that covers the back area where my bra would be.  Olive green top with an unexpected cutout in the back is super flattering.  Man, I'm such a tease.

How do you rock cut-out tops?  And do you think my peek-a-boo bra straps are appropriate for summer?

BRACELET: Forever21 (similar here

Hi readers!

Here's another casual, pulled-together look that plays around with trends without being over the top.  I've always been afraid of wearing colored pants because I have such short, athletic legs.  I decided to give this loose fitting salmon pink ankle pants a try and I think I did a pretty good job pairing it with a neutral striped top!  Feeling daring and playful, I put on these pastel-green rock ear candy!  I even found a matching green bench!

Tonight I'm heading out to a mini reunion with my dear Kyoto study-abroad friends!  We're going to have some good ol' beer and bond over Japanese food!  Expect more pictures later!

Thanks for all of your lovely comments in my previous post!  Thanks for reading!

Hi Readers!

It's been too long since my last post!  Thanks Raisa for reminding me!  It has been raining on and off for the past week in New York but it should be beautiful in the coming weeks!  I shall celebrate my blog return with my newest acquisition- a beautiful blue and green pendant necklace from Banana Republic!  I consider this piece a splurge for me, (retailing $50, I got 30% off) a lot for what I normally wear for accessories.  I love this piece because the length of the necklace is made up of pretty translucent green beads, rather than a metal chain.  During the summer time, I don't like the clinging feeling of metal on my sweaty neck! Fashion accessories usually tarnish so I prefer beads!  I handcrafted beaded jewelry while I was in college and I would love to share some of them in my future outfits!

Today was also an exciting day for me because I got to help my brother's girlfriend do her prom makeup!  Heather is naturally pretty and the makeup look I did for her turned out beautifully! It was my first time doing another person's makeup so I was super excited that she would let me!  Unfortunately, the lovebirds were in a rush to get into their limo so I don't have any pictures of the work I did.  Congratulations, be safe and have fun, seniors '12!

Thanks KS for taking these pictures for me!  It took a lot of persuasion to get him to do it.

Margaret

I Own The Heat: Red, White & Gold

WHAT I'M WEARING:

TOP: H & M (Similar here)
BOTTOM: Forever21 (here)
SHOES: Steve Madden (similar here)
BAG: Michael Kors (similar here)
EARRINGS: Jewelmint's Oyster (similar here)
ON WRISTS: AE leather cord wrap with rhinestones & MK watch
RINGS: Kate Spade bowtie, Macy's C&C brand ring,
Banana Republic's Rose Quartz ring
LIPSTICK: Rimmel Kate Moss Collection in #12

Many of you liked my first outfit ever, with the sheer, sleeveless top so I decided to do another outfit for you guys!  Light clothing with bright colors is the way to go.  I also don't spend a whole lot on them.  Instead of spending $$$ on clothes, splurge on a small cross-body bag that really stands out--trust me, you're going to look like a drowned kitty at the end of the day no matter what you wear but a sexy bag is fail-proof.  You can't find a bag more eye-catching and envy-inducing than this gold one I'm wearing!  When June comes around, I abandon layering tops all together, instead, I find colors and prints that goes great together, like this red, white and gold pairing.  I like the way my a** in these red shorts screams: IT'S FREAKING HOT AND I LOVE IT.  What does your a** want to convey in this heat?

Three words when it gets seriously too hot to bother with anything: braids, shades & lipstick ;)

Thanks for reading!  Use SPF and stay hydrated, my beautiful readers!

Sailor Inspired Look: Happy Memorial Day

WHAT I'M WEARING:
DRESS: Charlotte Russe (old) (sailor inspired dress here)
SHOES:  Via Spiga Gracie (here)
NECKLACES: Forever21
BAG: L.A.M.B (here in black)
Nails: China Glaze Hunger Games in Harvest Moon

Happy Memorial Day everyone!  It was absolutely scorching out in New York City!  I really wanted to do a  Memorial Day/American flag/sailor inspired look in honor of our brave soldiers of the present and the past.  I dug up this dress in my closet and it was just perfect for the occasion!  I also love stripes for the summer!  I wore my gray L.A.M.B bag because of the rope-y strap details.  It's my go-to bag because it's a nice size and it has a cute bohemian "I don't care that I'm slouchy"-look.  As for accessories, I layered an anchor necklace with a treasure chest necklace so my chest wouldn't appear so bare.  I bought these when I was obsessed with Pirates of the Caribbeans.  I have an obsession with jewelry/accessories that remind me of movies or shows I like even if it's not the "official"  merchandise.  I love True Blood so I have a lot of vampire-inspired jewelry!  My shoes are new!  I've been searching for a nude shoe to go with colorful dresses and I decided to get these flat-forms with a strap.

So what did I do today?  On the 28th of every month, my boyfriend and I celebrate our anniversary date!  It's not a very big deal since it's an annual one.  (Our annual one is in July!)  We spent the early afternoon indoors watching Pearl Harbor, (we only made it through disk one).  Then we went to Gyu-Kaku and we found various spots on our way there to shoot these photos.  Then we went shopping by Union Square!

This is my absolute favorite: Gyu-Tan!
Garlic rice, Various meats & Tuna Ahi Poke
